English class experience

Talk about my experience learning english at university is a very hard because this experience isn´t too good. First, I came in english three and when I went for the class I felt like i don´t know anything and the test gave me a wrong score and I really had to be in lower level. Well, I only trie to adapt myself to the level and with the help of my partners, and they made me realize I know more of the English language as far as I know. So, I ended this level knowing a little more but I never felt prepared for the final level, and this semester I took this subject with a lot afraid because I hadn´t spoken the language since the first year of the career and reading in english is something I hadn´t to do for a long time. In summary, I don´t feel the English courses at university give me new tools for understand the language, I think I only repeat what I learn in school and refresh my memories of that time. 

I think the problem with the program is the method because we need to learn how express in other language and the teacher will corrected for increase our knowledge and learn how to conjugate in english. This point is the aspect I have to improved and I plan travel from UK or United States for practice the pronunciation  and the same time I pretend to study some topic of my career, like a postgraduate program or something like that. I want to practice the language and for do that i have to travel because in other place outside of english class I don´t have the need to speak and in a country who talks in other language I force myself to speak in english and start to thinking in this tongue.

The Study Program

Hello everybody! I going to talk about my study program of psychology. In the first year of my career were very general subject of social science, so this year was attractive. The second year was bored, because the focus were put in scientific things, like experiment and funny studies with people and animals. I against of this type of experiment so I really hate this year, I think this approach is unnecessary in that time of career, because not everyone enjoy this area of career. Well, the third year are more fun because we studied all areas of psychology: legal, clinical, community, labour and educational. So, this subjects let us to learn about all areas we can work once we will finish our career and in the second semester, we were to choose the subject we want, and we could pick the topic of our interests. In my career the most I have developed is the work with partners, because the evaluation were with this format, for example, orals test in group, essays in group and works in group. 

My faculty doesn´t have a really good infrastructure, but it has a regular library wich I study and read for my evaluations and several computers in the library, but also it has two computer rooms but personally, I don´t enjoy this places because the chairs are discomfort and the space for each computer is a little tiny, so I feel very reduced in this room. But, in general, I like my faculty, because is not so big and has green areas for spend the time. About my teachers, I have a differents perceptions, some of them are really good teacher for explain their topics but, others never explain well the subjects and only repeat what the power point say. I really value the teacher who let his students say their opinions and allow a space of discussion. 

Free topic: Dance like you want

Hello everybody! The topic we have to talk about is an activity I like to do in my free time. In my life I had differents interest so I explore a differents ideas for news experience, but I always return to same activity: dancing. This is an activity I do for my entire life since I was seven years old, when I start dancing in a ballet class and I participed there for five years. Then I participed in all kind of dancing and most recently I am taking class of afroperuvian dance. This is a mix between  a classic afro dance and ethnic dance from people of Perú, and the result is a really fun music  and so good for dancing. My classes are near of Plaza Egaña subway, in a dance studio “Ebano”, and the teacher is Canela and she is a relly really good dancer and she have a lot experence in this topic. I took this class two days in a week, but in this final semester it been really dificult do everything I would like to do. 

I enjoy this activity for two general reason. One, I think the dancing is something I discover by my self, I mean, no one took me and force me to go a ballet class and is the better idea I never ocurred to me. And the second point, is the importance that the dancing has to me,  because this activity is a way to cutt my self off from my obligations of all days and also mean a really important conection with my body and learn to listen it.

Next Summer

Hello everybody! I am very very excited about this summer because I have a lot projects for this vacations. First I going to the south of the country with my boyfriend. We hope visit places near to the house where we spend the night. We going, specifically, to Pucón and I really like to go to lake because I love swim in sweet water and the sea scare me with his waves. Also, we want to walk in several path for learn about the nature of the area and also the wildlife of the region, like birds. I really enjoy of my country because the diversity of landscape and the people who is very different of the people in capital. Also, I want to eat all of kind of food wich is typical of this places. I really want start this trip with my partner and enjoy our company in other way wich is not in the capital. 

Then, I will travel to Cuba, I buy the tickets all ready. I`m going to this island with two of my best friend, Fernanda and Amine. They are my school`s friends and we are friends since 2011. I travel with both but never we are travell all together so I so excited whit this trip and make new experience with this important friendship. Well, we think travell all over the island, so we hope visit the most famous places on the island but also see the unknown places where turists doesn´t visit. We want to know this different culture and most important, the people who live in that country. We want to go to all beaches and tan our skin.

Postgraduate studies

The university studies does not enought for find a job, so do postgraduate studies seem a really good and useful idea. So, I am very interesed in clinical psychology so I would like learn more about this area of my career for do good therapy and also participate in investigation and contribute in topics wich are less searching. Especifficaly, I would like specialy myself in teenager psychoanalysis and learn several tools to know how this time of life work and how deal with all changes this phase mean. I love travel and one of my dreams is live for some time in other country and also I love study and learn new stuf so the idea to studie abroad is a really good combination, I really afraid about the countries were speaking english lenguage because I think if I don´t understand well what they say I really don´t understand a specify topic of psychology. Dispate of this problem I think is really important go to other cultures and learn all about it, including the lenguage. Also, I would like to study in Chile because I really matters about the topics that only happen in Chile, like the dictatorship of Pinochet and the particular way of violence against the women happens. I picture the postgraduate studies like a mix between class and research proyect. This way, always we learn in the classroom can be use in a real study.

Future Job

When I imagine my self in the future I see me in the clinical psychology area, where I picture myself helping different people of all ages. 

I would like to work in the public service of mental health. In this area, the psychologist  work doing therapy and personally, I really like to participe in that. Also, I would love to work in tertiary attention center, where the job is in hospital and the proffesionals interaction with the interned people. Specifically, the psychologist work with the people who was interned because mental disturbance or other alterations.

For other hands, the clinical psychologist work in private area too, and I would like do this too. I imagine my self doing this work in a little room. The salary of this work is better than the public service salary, but neither of both is very high, so I can live balancing my spend and having two jobs. A very good job I also would like to do is the jurical psychology area, assisting the victims of violence crimes, like rape and torture and help them with therapy.

I think the therapy is crucial in both jobs, so I pretend work with that and get better with other studies in addition of undergraduate knowledge and make new research for enriche social science and specifically, the work in therapy related with violence experience.

Free topic: My family

Hello class! I´m going to talk about my special family. I live with my mom, Claudia and my pet, Guadalupe. I have one more sister for the side of my mom, Camila and she is 25 years old, I grown up with her since the day I was born and we learn about the important thing of life, things you must learn when you are a kid. On the other hand, my father had a son after he and my mom were separated, and his name is Rafael and he is five years old but I don´t know him get, so I really don´t know how is he. This is my household, but my family it is so much bigger than this people.

I grow up with my aunts, sisters of my mom, and they was a very important part of my life. My aunt Pamela is the most younger and I feel her like a sister to me, my other aunt Carolina teach me the love of dancing and my aunt Soledad is my godmother so she love me and I love her in a special way. Finally, I was rice for my grandfathers too, because they live with me in my first ages of life, so they are a second fathers to me: My "yaya" always spoiled my sister and me and my "tata" taught a insightful advice. I love them very very much.

Hi! This day I want to write about the important event that happen the last weekend, that means plebiscite for the end of AFP. The AFP is the previsional system of Chile and it function is save money for your old ege, in other word, AFP look protect your money trough of a capitalist and individual system and it was funded in the militar dictatorship and created by José Miguel Piñera.

At present, the people are not very happy with the system and they started to organise. First some syndicates started to talk about the problem and, with the time, this syndicates began to reunited and finally this organization make one and emerged a new one call "Coordinadora Metropolitana No+AFP". This one have the mision to end with APFs in Chile and install a new solidary system. The last weekend they held a plebiscite to asked the chilean people about what we think abuot this topic and if we are agree of this. 

The results are impressive: With a huge citizen participation, the people expressed his discontent with the old age system pension and also they think that this system steal the money from all chilean people who use the system and they consider that the money that they receive is less that the money that they save.

Argentina and Chile together

When I was 16 I went to the best concert I remember going to in all my short life. This concert was call "El Abrazo" in a big park of Santiago and I went with my best friend, my sister and her school friends, who are my friends too. The show was huge!! Because the most famous artists of Chile and Argentina was reunited in a one place, so the concert last all day long. Some of my favorite musicians who performe was "Los Bunkers", "Babasonicos", Luis Alberto Spinetta, Charly Garcia, Jorge González  and "Los Jaivas", so, you can imagine how excited I was about this big festival, with a really good music and, in addition to that, I was with a really good friends, so this experience was unforgettable and awesome. 

A thing that really characterize this event is the people who performance was from a neighbours countries, wich made a special atmosphere in the park, where the essence of the two countries put together. This special moment make me feel really trilled and happy while I danced whit my friends and the people around us. See you!

We left to Cuba

In all my life I have visited three countries: Brazil, Peru and Bolivia. So, when make me the option to choose what country I want to visit I really don´t know which one decide, because I have always wanted to know all the world.

But, now I have planned a travel to Cuba, because this is a very magical place for me. I choose this country for my next travel because I think this place remand me the history of revolution in Latin America and the significant this event had for all the world. Also, I never been in Centre America and I imagine this place and its people a really really different of the cities and society I was used to see. For this reason, I think is very interesting to related with other people. In addittion, I know that this island have a different kind of religion, because this culture cross the catholic religion with white magic and make special this part of the world. In the same time, Cuba is the capital of "salsa", so I really happy to go for dance too. I love Chile, but I also would like live in other countries, very differents of my country and knows others realities.
